Update of my inventory of motorcycle sneakers/shoes/short boots that meet the maximum EN 13634 : 1222 standard.

I’ve changed the layout to arrange the equipment by price rather than by brand.

I’ve also added various indications to help you make your choice: place of manufacture when known, waterproofness, type advertised (just for info, as there’s no particular cut for boots).

I made an initial list of helmets complying with the new ECE 22.06 standard in early 2022, at which time I found only 4 models. Now that the standard is in force and the 22.05s have disappeared from the shelves, the choice has greatly increased and there are helmets to suit all budgets.

So I’ve redone my list, focusing on light-colored helmets under 250 euros.

This page lists a number of motorcycle jackets that don’t cost more than 250 euros new, and that meet at least the second level of the EN 17092 standard (AA). There’s even a women’s model at the third level (AAA).

I’ve listed the Motoblouz/Dafy/Fcmoto/Motardinn links in order of price, when the product was available at the time of writing.

(Important note: I don’t get a penny from purchases made on these sites, the links are there for information only! If you liked the article, you can buy me a coffee by following the link at the top of the article :) )

I sometimes modify old articles to add new information and I was looking for a simple way to make them appear on the site and the RSS feed, without modifying my theme:

All you have to do is add a lastmod attribute with the update date to the article metadata:

``yaml lastmod: “2023-08-22

Then modify the site's frontmatter conf, in the _.toml_ or _.yml_ at the root, to give this **lastmod** attribute priority over the **date** attribute:

yaml
frontmatter:
  date:
  - lastmod
  - date

[frontmatter]
  date = ['lastmod', 'date']

The site you are viewing consists of a static Hugo website hosted on Github :

Github provides the ability to expose a static web site for each public repository in the account. All that is required is:

• html+css in the repository;
• The Github Pages feature enabled.

The static code of each repository will then be accessible at the url: https://MONLOGINGITHUB.github.io/MONDEPOT/

Hugo is a generator of static web sites : You write pages in markdown, you launch Hugo, and it generates all the html and the structure of site that Github will expose.

# UPDATED ARTICLE HERE : Inventory of the most protective motorcycle riding boots (EN 13634 : 2222) in December 2023 #

I’ve updated my inventory of motorcycle high boots that meet the maximum EN 13634:2222 standard.

I’ve changed the layout to arrange the equipment by price rather than by brand.

I’ve also added various indications to help you make your choice: place of manufacture when known, waterproofness, advertised type (just for info, as for boots no particular cut).

Some time ago, I produced an Inventory of the most protective current motorcycle jeans and pants (EN-17092 : AAA) in June 2023.

This second inventory is aimed at those looking for a little freshness for summer, at a reasonable price (under 150 euros) and without sacrificing their protection completely (AA and AAA models). I’ve listed pants that the manufacturer claims are ventilated, either because they’re single-layer or because they’re designed to be lighter.

Some time ago, I produced an Inventory of the most protective summer motorcycle jackets (EN 17092 - AAA), the ideal solution for those who want to ride safely without dying of heat, but it has to be admitted that the models are expensive, and no model under 300 euros features mesh panels.

This second inventory is aimed at those whose priority is the coolness provided by the large mesh panels, at the expense of a little safety (AA instead of AAA). I’ve limited the search to models costing less than 200 euros, because above that you might as well go for AAA. (It’s highly likely that these models can be found second-hand for between 50 and 100 euros).

This page lists motorcycle cargo pants that meet the 2 highest levels of the EN 17092 standard: AAA and AA.

I’ve included various indications to help you make your choice: place of manufacture when known, waterproofness, type advertised…

I’ve included the Motoblouz/Dafy/Fcmoto link when the product was available at the time of writing.
